Tom Watkins has closed over $ 100 million in apartment building and investment properties and credits his success as a broker to his in-depth market knowledge, accurate underwriting ability, profound work ethic, and well-built working relationships within the Los Angeles brokerage community. His focus on apartments in Los Angeles County has also helped him develop relationships with many of the largest apartment owners in the county.
Tom started his real estate brokerage career in the Long Beach office of Marcus & Millichap in 2005. By 2008 he had earned the distinction of being named the Long Beach office’s most improved broker and became one of the top ten brokers in the Long Beach office. While with KW, Tom has earned a number of accolades including top volume closed and top volume written.
Tom has also invested in apartment buildings and is well aware of both the benefits and challenges of owning apartment buildings. Furthermore, while administrating syndication projects, Tom has been involved in the development of mixed use properties in Los Angeles commencing at the entitlement phase.
Tom graduated from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut where he served as Team captain of the Division 1 Hockey team his Junior and Senior years. He was inducted into the Quinnipiac Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012, and now serves a member of the Quinnipiac University Alumni Hockey Mentorship Program.
